Vasseur was asked about Ferrari being less leaky about information. He said things have become more air tight. He has denied Newey coming to Italy was a leak. And he really just came on his own business. But why I think Newey will be at Ferrari, is Fred's clear denial.
He did the same thing when asked if Lewis would drive for Ferrari and Fred said something like he is always talking to Lewis.
"We had some leakages at the beginning when I joined, even before I joined because I understood in the press that I will go to Ferrari before I started the discussion with Ferrari.

"In the last six months, you had gossip in the press, but it was gossip and not real leaks from the team.

"There was the story with [Adrian] Newey seen in Bologna because Newey was going to Mugello [to test]. That's not a leak!

Which mean Eddie Jordan, AN's manager is lying. Or you are mistaken?

Eddie is speaking as a manager of AN, and 100% guarantee AN did not, at any stage, talk, engage etc etc with any other F1 team other than RB. You will believe what you choose to believe. I am just sharing what was said and what was not.

Yes he is speaking as his manager and that is why Eddie can say anything to divert attention from Newey. The last think Adrian would want is the media in his face if ge did say which teM he plans to work with.
My guess it's to Ferrari as part time consultant working from home with obligation to go to maybe 40% of the races and some factory visits every other month.
People like Newey dont stop working. He wont stay away from F1 for long.
For Sure!!

If you make be guess I would say Ferrari next year too. But on his terms.

I do think Newey has probably not made up his mind yet but - think too hes negotiated his gardening leave and so on so he has the freedom to choose what he does. Knows, as he said in the Oyster interview the lure of F1 remains so may have some intention to step away but know how hard it is for him to walk away.

Likewise leaving now he can not be conflicted to taking offers from elsewhere about what his options may be next year.

I don't really think team ownership is something that would appeal to him, I am sure some teams would offer im shares but not enough to control the team in any meaningful way. And he talks about the RB way Christain took care of the business side he the engineering side set tha tup how he wanted - think that too put RB in an ideal position to continue well after he is gone that I don't think he likely had that control anywhere else in the past. Newey talks in the Oyster interview about loving designing cars, being in engineering meeting (which he wasn't at Miami to his disappointment/wasn't what he enjoys just being on the put wall)

If terms that suit Newey aren't offered of he gets there and doesn't think they are what he was promised can see him walking.

Yes he doesn't have the narcissism to want to own a team. Doesn't strike me as that type of person. He is at heart a technical specialist.
I also suspect his absence from redbull will be felt instantly. Without his oversight Redbull may not have the "gel" or the "current" to connect the dots between the track performance, driver feedback, and technical development and direct.
I predict the team will have the best car, but not the best translation to on track results once Newey is pulled from the engineering meetings. We may see this take place at Imola to begin the team's fall from grace.
For Sure!!

Does he not already "own" the design studio or whatever it is called who is employed by Red Bull?
I think "Adrian Newey" it a thing not a person.

I know it is him, but also his accountants managers etc, which would be open to become whatever he wanted it to contain and get as deep into whatever company he wishes to work with and not be limited by job title.
When arguing with a fool, be sure the other person is not doing the same thing.

Adrian Newey's manager hits back at rumours: 'It's really very wrong'

Former Formula 1 team owner Eddie Jordan, who is the manager of master designer Adrian Newey, firmly denies that Red Bull Racing's current chief technical officer has already signed a contract with Ferrari.

"It’s really very wrong to be so blatant about [Newey] joining a certain team," Jordan said in the Formula for Success podcast he co-presents with David Coulthard. "I’m speaking as someone who should know, and I’m not giving any information away, at no stage is any of this kind of discussion happening.

"There will be talks, and there is going to be ongoing talks, because we have yet to decide what Adrian himself wants to do," the former F1 team owner adds. He stresses that Newey will enjoy his time off, first and foremost. "Let us be very clear, it will always be Adrian’s decision – and so it should be – but there is no clear call."

Jordan stresses again that rumours of signed contracts aren't accurate. "I can give my absolute life on that," the 76-year-old Irishman says firmly. "There is no inclination to go in any particular way in the moment, we are looking at the opportunities and we are letting people come to talk to us."

The best way AN can contribute to F1 is perhaps for AN to join FIA and help push to bring back V10 engine and guide the technical regulation going forward.

Not a chance Newey goes anywhere near the FIA.
An engineer at heard, the whole political stuff really isn't him at all. too much a corporate role, said it a few weeks ago with EJ etc he loves being in engineering meetings

I actually don't doubt EJ here in there has been no decision made. I tend to think though hes probably choses where in his mind he would like to work if he stays in F1 I still think Ferrari are the front runner but have said I can easly see him just walking away too it wouldn't surprise me if he doesn't get a deal that suits him. Or even if he signed with Ferrai (or another team) started work and found it wasn't what he though turning around and walking away.

Of course is is capable if he wants. But do you really think thats something Newey would be interested in? I tend to think there would be zero desire for him to take on that role. Its a role that requires plenty of political to deal with all the so many different elements teams, engine manufactures. Even take what Peter Windsor said a few weeks ago about Newey and Mercedes, Merc are a very corporate team lots of meetings and so on its how they operate would make Newey hesitant the FIA would be exactly the same.

Just sharing the technical and engineering aspect of possible role at FIA.

Whether it interest him or not, thats for him to decide, you cant possible speak like you are AN.

Of course Newey is the only one that can decide. But personally I rate the chances of him being interested in that kinda role as pretty much zero. Think hes far more likely to walk away from F1 than that in my view
