The Arrows A8 completed the entire 1985 and 1986 seasons for Arrows. In its first year, Berger and Boutsen gathered 14 points but by 1986 the car had lost its edge. Berger left and Surer / Danner took his place. Boutsen stayed at the team for another year but the lack of development on the car meant it could only score 2 points in its second year of competition.
