English Racing Automobiles

English Racing Automobiles was originated by Raymond Mays at his Bourne home in Lincolnshire, with the help of his friend, Peter Berthon. The outfit was sold and relocated pre-war, before being purchased by Leslie Johnson in November 1947.

Johnson was only interested in the E-type cars and later models whilst many of the earlier chassis carried on in private hands
