Hey guys. Just a speculation thread about which car will be the car to beat, and the running order, among the top 3 teams over the last 7 races of the year. Red Bull has had 100% of poles this year; but I think it's clear that they weren't the fastest in all of them; especially in the race. Who do you think will win, or what do you think the running order will be in these races?

The remaining races are:
Monza
Singapore
SUzuka
Korea
India
Abu Dhabi
Brazil

Ill split my predictions into 4 areas, sharp end/front mid pack/mid pack/tail enders

Sharp End:
Monza - McLaren
Singapore - Red Bull
Suzuka - Red Bull
Korea - Ferrari
India - McLaren
Abu Dhabi - Red Bull
Brazil -Red Bull

Front Mid Pack:
Monza - Mercedes
Singapore - Renault
Suzuka - Renault
Korea - Mercedes
India - Mercedes
Abu Dhabi - Renault
Brazil -Mercedes

Mid Pack:
Monza - Force India
Singapore - Toro Rosso
Suzuka - Toro Rosso
Korea - Sauber
India - Force India
Abu Dhabi - Toro Rosso
Brazil - Sauber

Tail Enders:
Monza - Virgin
Singapore - Team Lotus
Suzuka - Hispania
Korea - Virgin
India - Team Lotus
Abu Dhabi - Team Lotus
Brazil - Team Lotus

All are if it is dry and non rain affected. However i can see Mercedes and Force India making Monza a bit more unpredictable and harder for those at the sharp end. And Suzuka is a traditional car breaker with a high non-finish rate so things could be in for a change there.

Also, Lady Luck is just about to visit Red Bull as their last race with a retirement was Abu Dhabi last year, and she will strike her thorns in the way of Red Bull as McLaren have had 4 retirements (2 apice for Button and Hamilton) and Ferrari have had 3 DNFs (2 for Massa and 1 for Alonso) whitch means that Red Bull are about to have some problems with either crashes or relyability problems.

Id expect Red Bull to have 2 DNFs with both Vettel and Webber from now to the end of they year. Id reckon that Singapore, Japan, Korea and India may be their problems. However Red Bull are one engine behind the rest in terms of the 8 engine cycle so they have a fresh unit to spare. Id expect them to use the Belgum engines in Monza, to try and get 2 engines ahead. However i think that McLaren will use the Belgum blocks in Monza as well as they dont have too much distance on them in comparison to other teams.

Vettel will be WDC and Red Bull have the Constructoirs Title, im looking at the battle at Mercedes and Renault as well as the mid pack battle with Force India, Sauber and Toro Rosso and the tail end teams battle as theese are more than enough fun for me till 2012 from now on.

I find it very fascinating that no one figures Ferrari will be any good at any of the last few races except for Monza

I expect Ferrari to be strong in Singapore, street circuits seem to suit them well.

I'm expecting Ferrari to get one or two more wins. Just not sure which races!

I find it also quite interesting that Suzuka, which has been a Red Bull circuit for the past two years, has been put down by some to McLaren

What richard_leeds says – McLaren and Red Bull have some clear strengths, this is less true of Ferrari. I also think it's fairly reasonable to assume that Ferrari are in a weak position given that the only race they've won this season was due to a rule change (even if they have been there or there abouts elsewhere).

Mostly because their roles seem reversed of late – McLaren was incredibly strong at the high downforce Hungary, RedBull was incredibly strong at McLaren's traditionally strong Spa, but notably, not in the high-downforce middle sector.

They've only ever been "there" in Silverstone. They've been "thereabouts" elsewhere, but never "there," if you catch my drift. The weird thing is, in Silverstone, I don't think they were just stronger because everyone didn't have the diffuser blowing. I think they were genuinely quick anyways; with a genuine step forward. SO where did they take a step back?

Arguably the McLaren was still very strong at Spa. Button made it through 10 places with his anyways. Maybe they went the wrong way with Lewis' setup, maybe they didn't. I don't know. Hungary I find interesting. Hungary (IMO) has always been a mechanical circuit rather than aero; the corners aren't super fast neck stretchers. If you go to any year other than 2010; Hungary has been a McLaren circuit, especially as McLaren have always been mechanically strong.

Anyone remember the downforce-deficient MP4-24? Even that won the Hungarian Grand Prix; I'm willing to bet that the Brawn and Red Bull, in 2009, still had more downforce than the MP4-24 at that stage; which leads me to conclude that in 2009, McLaren's mechanical advantage outweighed the Red Bull/Brawn downforce advantage in Hungary 2009; and reinforces my view that it was a mechanical circuit more than downforce.

Monza - Ferrari/McLaren
Singapore - Red Bull/Ferrari (Due to potential temperatures more than anything)

The rest are all easily Red Bull territory, imo. I have purposefully not considered India at this point though. I have also assumed that these races would take place in 'usual' weather conditions for that area.
