Can only scoop in a head on crash, which can happen now anyway. The sidepods/floor are to low and the main concern (the nose hitting the tire from behind) is solved as the rotation of the tire was assisting the lift off. It will work against scooping in the same way.
I've found a way of ducting exhaust right to the diffuser edge like in 2011 and created a new wheel fastener that could allow sub 2 second pitstops see them here --> My 2013 F1 Concept Project

I am talking about scooping under the crashbox, I believed it happened in Indy Lights multiple times, and could as well happen here. And when your car hits aonther car its wheel you are likely to take off anyways, doesnt make that much sense if you ask me. I cannot remmeber a race where a car took off because his nose hit anothers rear wheel, nope it is always wheel on wheel. Doenst make much sense imo

wes; Mark's collision with Heikki last year was wheel to nose rather than wheel to wheel

the fixed weight distribution rule is rubbish. It really takes a tuning element out of the drivers hands.

Considering how much aero and mech influences balance once the car is moving, I'd say the static gravity weight balance is rather secondary.

I agree however that is is only a comfort rag to save Brawn's blushes and the sooner it goes the better.

right on the $$$$, the IRL car proves that, low long ardvark nose and crap piece of car engineering, they are one step away form FAA approval
