Mclaren orange - also good for visibility.

Have you seen it racing? That's the most crash-happy car I remember. And when it rains they drop like flies! One of them even crashed at '3 hours of Monza' this year during the wet start under the safetycar!

If you want to go for something safe in all conditions, I'd suggest a 911 Turbo (with AWD). But I'd rather have some entertainment during the SC periods. How about keeping the SLS, making Bernd drift it through every corner while being on fire!

Mercedes has announced SLS AMG GT-a small upgrade, let's say. I'm not saying it will set the world on fire, but it is the most plausible thing for Safety Car we will see next season.

It produces 591bhp which is 20hp more than the standard model and does naught to 60 in 3.7 seconds which makes it a tenth of a second faster.

Not the GT3 mclaren, the normal road going one with the fancy suspension etc
I've found a way of ducting exhaust right to the diffuser edge like in 2011 and created a new wheel fastener that could allow sub 2 second pitstops see them here --> My 2013 F1 Concept Project

Existing safety car is well suited for Formula 1

maybe a car with a downforce fan bolted on  it would mean higher cornering speeds (to keep tires warm) and it would dry the racing line at the same time (the fan exit would have to send air to the sides of the car otherwise the spray would be a problem.

I think it should be a Dodge Charger to represent the US's historical love of F1...wait, I have something wrong here...

I would guess that such a serious amount of money would allow them to ignore the constant complains of a car that was nowhere near as bad as their #1 driver tried to sell throughout the season.

Heck, a car on which Massa finishes in the podium or has to lift so that his teammate finishes ahead (As we saw often in the final races of the year) is, by no means, a "bad" car."

I'm thinking maybe a Corvette ZR1 would be a little better suited if it was going to be an American car. But there is really no reason for it to be, the Mercs make sense since they have the wagon for the medical car.

american cars don't go round corners that well and ferraris are just rubbish, Keep it as the SlS AMG, and the C63 AMG, but if they wana swap the SLS then chose the MP4-12C :P

Not a bad looking Safety car... :P
If someone said to me that you can have three wishes, my first would have been to get into racing, my second to be in Formula 1, my third to drive for Ferrari.
