How do you make a wind tunnel carbon neutral ?

I'm sure that's true, but how many jumbos took off to bring the teams to the Aussie, Malaysia, China and Bahrain races?

A fully loaded 747-8L carries 243,120L of fuel. An F1 car uses 75L per 100km (lets assume this figure), 24cars each doing say 700km per weekend = 12,600l of fuel. 20 Rounds is 252,000L.

Across a whole season the entire grid uses as much fuel as a single 747 can hold. Not a great deal really.

Pieoter - I think the number is closer to 50-55kg per 100km. We always hear the commentators saying they have to take on 150-160kg of fuel for the race (305km)

75L of petrol is roughly 50-55kg
