I'm not sure why people continue to suggest Laguna Seca for a F1 race.

It would be awful...I actually hate Laguna Seca.

It presents very little in the way of opportunities for overtaking. It's a good track for smaller sports cars, that's about it.

If there was one circuit in America that F1 is perfectly suited for, it would be Road America. Too bad the location is in the middle of nowhere.

As for my list...

1) Australia - Adelaide Street Circuit
2) Malaysia - Sepang
3) Portugal - Estoril (old version)
4) San Marino - Imola (Tamburello Corner not chicane, old Variante Bassa)
5) Spain - Circuit de Valencia
5) Monaco
6) Belgium - Spa
7) Canada - Circuit Gilles Villeneuve
8 USA 1 - Long Beach
9) Netherlands - Zandvoort
10) France - Paul Ricard (80s layout with Mistral Straight into Signes)
11) England - Brands Hatch
12) European GP - Alternate between: Donington, Magny Cours, Nurburgring
13) Germany - Hockenheimring (old layout, and no chicane before the Ostkurve)
14) Austria - Osterreichring
15) Hungary - Hungaroring.
16) Italy - Monza (old Curva Grande)
17) Mexico - Hermanos Rodgriguez
18) USA 2 - Watkins Glen
19) Argentina - Oscar Galvez
20) Brazil - Interlagos

Dear God, no! Brands would have to be irretrievably ruined to make it suitable for modern F1!

Well to be fair, in many instances I'd like to see the tracks as they exist currently, or an earlier version without all the idiot BS like endless parking lot run-off areas. While it might amount to sacrilege to some, I would say Spa is not the same track it once was, and is actually worse off now than it was 15-20 years ago.

Interesting to see people suggesting F1 at Indy500. Sure, if you like watching thoroughbreds racing in a donkey derby...

For me, in no particular order:

Silverstone
Suzuka
Spa
Turkey (Istanbul Park)
Nordschleife
Magny Cours
Clermont-Ferrand
Imola (pre-1994)
Montreal
Sepang
Shanghai
Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace (current Brazilian GP circuit)

I think Le Mans and Bathhurst would be fun but aren't allowed by the rules...

How about Pescara which is 16 miles long and has 2 massively long straights. Real engine breaker of a circuit! Would be much more of an "extremely low downforce for top speed but try to get it through the twist stuff" challenge than Monza, that's for sure! See http://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=Via+V ... 2,4,5&z=13

Ah yes, agreed about running Brands as it was although I think it might be a bit mickey mouse for a current F1 car. Be fun to see though :)

I suppose you are referring to the 70s decade number 15 layout, because the layout number 6 from the 1995-1998 races sucks even more than Hungaroring.

Yes number 15 layout...my mistake!

The last layout they used was horrible.

From current tracks that exist, some may need a 1A licence upgrade, but id have agood mix of long and short with some medium length tracks.

01] Bahrain - BIC
02] Austrailia - Albert Park/Adalade (Alternating Years)
03] Malasia - Sepang
04] China - Shanghai
05] South Africa - Kyalami
06] European - Imola/Istanbul Park/Donnington/Zandvoort/Circuit Zolder (Alternating)
07] Monaco
08] Spanish - Barcelona/Valencia Urban (Alternating)
09] Canadian - Montreal
10] American - New Jersey
11] France - Le Castellet/Magney Cours/Le Mans Bugatti (Alternating)
12] British - Silverstone
13] German - Hockenheim/Nurburgring (Alternating)
14] Austrian - A1 Ring
15] Hungarian - Hungaroring
16] Belgian - Spa

20] Indian - Buddh International Circit
21] Abu Dhabi - Yas Marina
22] USA - Circuit Of The Americas
23] Mexico - Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez

Im giving Bernie 24 GPs and introducing a new system of where a driver does a "Maldanado" 3 times they sit a race out, and if he does it twice more he sits out 2 races for every two repremands, like the Yellow card rule in Football, 3 yellows a race off, for every 2 after that you take another two off. I also have tried to make it a true "World Championship" with races in 4 of the 6 contenents.

I want this +....get ready for it...Zolder, Austria or full length of the Nürburgring!
If someone said to me that you can have three wishes, my first would have been to get into racing, my second to be in Formula 1, my third to drive for Ferrari.

I really like the idea of alternating European GP amongst many circuits, would be nice to have it staged consecutively on every circuit in Europe that is suitable for F1 but doesn't have a GP.

How can a European race be held in a country that isn't in Europe!?

Why has no one added this little gem into their fantasy lists? It seems to be a F1T tradition to throw this circuit into any "F1 needs to go to these circuits" type discussions!
