"Ferrari's form has been difficult to read so far. They have periodically popped up at the top of the times. And a race run done by Fernando Alonso at the first Bahrain test looked reasonably competitive compared to a simultaneous one by Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg, as far as it was possible to tell. But a senior Ferrari figure revealed this week that the team believe their engine is about 75bhp down on the Mercedes, and they don't understand how their rivals are getting so much power while staying within the fuel restriction introduced this year. Which does not paint too pretty a picture for Fernando Alonso and Kimi Raikkonen.
That isn't good news if true.... but doesn't Ferrari have the fastest top speed across all the test. Being down on 75hp, which is quite a bit, yet having the fastest top speed doesn't really make sense to me.
Ehh ordinary rummors. We definitly cant say that. Even during seaon will be difficult to even cloce tell how the thing stands.. 8)

In addition to repair some parts of the fairing also be changed in a moment. After the lunch break to proceed for Raikkonen. Not exactly a good start to the week.

Thanks , i think being on this forum is better for impatient F1 fans than relying on autosport or any other live feed. :D

Well hey, if we believe all the rumour this must mean that Ferrari have 25bhp more than Renault! ;)

Can anyone tell me why we're testing in Bahrain rather than the usual Barcelona?

And money, and prestige. For Bahrain.

Remember when going there was controversial, all those years ago?

Anyway.

Air temp 29°C, track temp 40°C and no sign of renaults for a while now...

Edit: (from Autosport live) 12:46 Potentially big news regarding Red Bull's progress with its troublesome 2014 machine:
BEN ANDERSON has just wandered through the support race pits and bumped into Daniel Ricciardo, who is doing some promo work rather than driving the RB10 at the moment. We understand that Red Bull is still battling overheating issues, and the team is not sure right now if it will get back out on track today.

Renault team still in the mess! RB and Lotus 32 and 31 laps....

Williams and McLaren doing a troublefree race sim and have over 90 laps completed.

Bottas race sim looks very good. Magnussen times are pretty sh*t compared to ROS and BOT... McLaren tyre eater or drag queen?
Finishing races is important, but racing is more important.

12:58 Raikkonen is in the pits once again, and from trackside BEN ANDERSON has noticed some interesting points at the exit of Turns 1/2:

"Very inconsistent upshifts from the Ferrari coming out of T1/2. The Mercedes cars are a lot smoother, particularly McLaren. Sutil is getting wheelspin through T2."
