Is this how it works?

Isn't it just whoever gets most pole?

I think this is just a fictional championship based on qualifying results.
Pole position trophy is just for whoever has most pole positions at the end of the year.

Exactly this, Raymonda normally does it (and better than me I might add) but I haven't seen a thread this year on it. I always find it interesting to see who has the speed

To be perfectly honest I was somewhat disheartened to see my favourite team and driver lag so far behind Mercedes that the thought of starting this thread got brushed off in my mind. Would you like me to carry on or would you like to do the honours?

I'm considering doing up a non-Merc championship thread too - just for kicks.

Up to you Ray, I think you are better at it so I am happy for you to kick on.

Looking at the conversion rates, this year is gonna be less indicative (if it ever was ;) ) than last year due to the increased probability of technical woes. Cars do not work in quali, cars do not work in the race, so especially for the drivers outside the Top5 the stats are gonna be flawed. Interesting none the less :)

It's not easier lol, especially when I don't have excel to hand, plus I handed over the reins R, plus I'm lazy.

Thanks for the update though :D
