I found these two (which almost gave me an orgasm  ) and it is one of the best documentaries on the technical side of F1 I've ever seen. Maybe they were already posted?
Anyway, the development of Ford Beatrice engine/car for 1986. Starring Keith Duckworth, Alan Jones, Patrick Tambay and a young Ross Brawn.

This is the story, told in his own words, of Mike Hawthorn's last season of racing.

As was typical of 1958, they didn't just drive Formula 1

plenty of real ('4 wheel') drifting

The link doesn't work. I would like to find videos in quality such as this two:

1)

2)

I don't know why but the videos look much better that the avi files of 1990s. Maybe better cameras? I would like to make an archive with this retro files with similar quality.

Not really vintage, but not new either.

Portugal 1989. A full race with Gerhard Berger on board his Ferrari 640 powered by a Ferrari 035/5 3.5 V12.

I wish they recorded them in 16mm films in their cameras. THen the convertion to 720p would be easy. Like in the old movies (eg godfather). It would be great to have this footage in HD :(

What a super video. Great close driving knowing a touch could be fatal.

Tough tyres and bugger all down force made for great racing and the irony of today's formula of flimsy tyres and too much down force is not lost on fans.

Formula one was competetive years back. Just look at this table of the Grand Prix of Sweden. The qualifying times are really close!
