One of my personal favorites of Ron and Ayrton after the victory at Suzuka 1993.

I was too young to remember watching this at the time (1986 German GP was the first race I saw) but I was shown a youtube clip of Piquet overtaking Senna at the next race in Hungary in the most spectacular fashion in my favourite car. Perhaps the first F1 car you set eyes on goes on to be cherished more than others?

Image

If you were to make a video of the top 100 overtakes would you include it? I certainly would.

That to me is what an overtake is all about - it takes work, but when it happens, it can be incredible to watch.

reminds me a bit of this one (the 1979 Arrows A2) driven by one of my favorite drivers, Riccardo Patrese.

Not pictures, sorry, but I cannot find a way to post a picture of the sound. Perhaps someone can help with that.

Williams FW18 in a short acceleration

... and pit stops. This video shows pit stops in 2014, 2013, 2010, 2007, 2004, 1997, 1990, 1984, 1982, 1975 and 1950. Only three persons could work in the car at Indy in 1950 (well, four including the driver).

Pit stops, from imperceptible (and boring) to eternal (and boring). Oh, the Buddhist right way! It comes and then it goes and nobody is the wiser.
