I wondered how that golden generation (well they are to me) compared to todays drivers, Senna was 26, Prost was 31, Mansell was 33 & Piquet was 34 in that photo.

In Korea 2010 someone had the idea to recreate that iconic photo:

Image

Hamilton was 25, Alonso 29, Webber 34, Button 29 & Vettel was 23.

I was surprised how young the drivers were in the Estoril photo, but I didn't know how old I thought they were in the first place.

Wow, great picture, Gaz, nice to coincide with you.

Now, indulge me for a moment, will you?

You know, I'm a great movie fan. I quote movies as other people quote Shakespeare.

I see pictures in this thread and I can imagine the dialogs. Always did, always will do.

So, without more ado, in this post...

Movies in F1

Briefing at Italian GP, 1972. Left to right, Lauda, Hulme, Surtees, Regazzoni, Fittipaldi, first row. Pace, Revson, Reutemann, Hill, Galli, Wisell, Amon, second row:

" Legend tells of a legendary warrior whose Kung Fu skills were the stuff of legend"
Image

Mosley. when he was Helmut Kelleners's Team Director at the International Trophy in 1970:

"You know, I have one simple request. And that is to have sharks with frickin' laser beams attached to their heads! Now evidently, my cycloptic colleague informs me that that can't be done. Can you remind me what I pay you people for? Honestly, throw me a bone here. What do we have?"
Image

Ron Dennis, believe it or not, holding the lollipop, 1987:

"We can stay up late, swapping manly stories, and in the morning, I'm making waffles!"
Image

Ecclestone and Mosley in 1978:

"Gee, Brain, what do you want to do tonight?"
"The same thing we do every night, Pinky—try to take over the world!"

Image

Pretty interesting picture of Graham Hill and Damon Hill alongside, probably before the invention of karts (and dogs):

"Size matters not. Look at me. Judge me by my size, do you?"
Image

Incredible picture of Bruce McLaren, Stirling Moss, Tony Brooks, Graham Hill, Jo Bonnier and Wolfgang von Trips (left to right) around an even littler Damon Hill (center):

"There is … another … Sky … walker.…"
Image

Anonymous Passenger to the incorregible Nigel Mansell, in a two seats car exhibition.

"R2 says the chances of survival are 725... to one"
Image

Hamilton to terrified (probably) passengers, proving that he can take a bathtub to the limit:

"The Millenium Falcon is the ship that made castle run in less than twelve parsecs, she's fast enough for you old man"
Image

Brigitte Nielsen to Michael Schumacher:

"I'm not bad. I'm just drawn that way."

That picture of Sir Stirling reminds me of one I love.

Monaco 1955, Stirling battling the great Fangio for P1 at Monaco. =D>

Perhaps not xactly a classic, but the Al Pacino quote on Andrea Sassetti is just too good to let pass, eh Ciro?

I've been cured; born again, like the Watergaters. I know you've heard this rap before, your honor, I've changed. I've changed, and it didn't take no thirty years like your honor thought, but only five.

The once great BRM marque's last F1 competing car, the hopeless P207, poor 38 year old swede Conny Andersson failed to even qualify at his home race. Finally, sponsor Rotary watches demanded to have their name removed from the damn thing.

Great images, but what in the world is Ronnie wearing?

This is where he signed for MrM anyway, not to be the last time, but I doubt if he was ever paid in full?;
