Yea, and I'm not a happy puppy because of it. Although I can watch NASCAR racing, the steady diet of NASCAR-related shows on Speed is much too much for my personal taste. And the fact that real racing coverage is sacrificed for it .. well. I don't like it.

Problem isn't in software but in finding someone visiting this forum willing to be a host of video conference on Yahoo messenger (broadcaster).

I really hoped that we'll form some sort of community of people who can broadcast F1 over internet (messengers or P2P, whatever). Than I hoped we'd have a list of broadcasters and announcements who of them will be free to broadcast and when.

I really don't think it's a big deal that you "MUST" watch the race. I live far away in the middle east...and it's not like i get much T.V. coverage.
I just check the net every hour or so for updates.

Well, I think nothing is better than watching the race as you really cant see wheel to wheel racing or appreciate classic overtaking moves through online stats and timings

Yes, you all are right. Netcast, Yahoo, whatever, it should work.

But for people like Taleed, Gale Force, which I enjoyed from 1995 to 2002, was the best in the world. http://www.galeforcef1.com/. I have never ever seen such a cool way to show you what was happening in the race. Sometimes it was better than TV. I am sure that F1-Live copied the format (and expanded it later, to be able to charge for it).

For example, take a look at the graphs for race position http://dbs.galeforcef1.com/event_wfall.asp?s=2001&e=17 or the report for fastest laps http://dbs.galeforcef1.com/event_flaps.asp?s=2001&e=17 which I have been unable to find again on the Net, or on TV broadcasting, by the way. This was the first site that put together a comprehensive F-1 statistics site. The photo distribution was superb, and it was copied by Sutton later on.

For those of you that believe that FIA won't go after you if you transmit the video feed, take a look to "Gale Force vs The Empire", http://dbs.galeforcef1.com/story-item.asp?s=2, an article in which the owner of this website explains how FIA forced him to close it. This guy was really ahead of his time and he contacted Max Mosley in 1995 to no avail. This is why some of us love the FIA so much.

Anyway, I suggest that somebody "broadcast" the next race on a post, if this is OK with the moderators. It is easier and probably more entertaining (if you do not have access to live TV). We are waiting for the next Murray Walker and his prose.

I cannot do it easily: my TV is far from my PC. But I will do my best, Taleed, I promise, if you are going to be online during next race. It will be funny anyway: somebody in Oman reading a description made in Colombia about a race in Australia... You probably have better sources during the race, but I will enjoy it.

The only problem is that I've tried to install the thing Jezzwa suggested and that it doesn't work. Can anyone help me? And the station with comment in English or French or Dutch) when it's possible.

I've tried just about every single damn p2p tv program and the only one that works is TVUPlayer but it doesn't have the channel I want :(

I found out that MK Sports is Speed Channel too and that is on SopCast. Hopefully I can watch the ALMS this afternoon.

Thanks Carlos! That's the ITV feed they show on their website. When it was launched ahead of the Aussie Grand Prix it was only available for British Users but it was opened up on Saturday for everyone. It was nice to be able to have it up and running so I had something to look at while Speed was on commercial, ITV also usually shows between the Podium but after the drivers are out of their cars. (Something I wish Speed showed) It was again taken down and for British users only before the Bahrain GP and glad someone is hosting it on a separate site. :)
