Some gorgeous sketch and artwork in this video, with a heady nod of nostalgia. Emotive for me at least...
The music? Parade by Rone.

Enjoy, silberpfeil-istas.

The 1930s always had a special place in my heart. Brave men, awesome machines and history context made that period the golden era for me.

Too be fair, ol' Adolf was both an aesthete & a motorhead,
& it was this personal interest that ensured those fabulously futuristic machines had state backing..

Sorry I couldn't resist, but does that not bother you seeing when there is the Chinese GP:

Yes, a communist country. The same communist country that still continues to murder people on political and other reasons. A death count probably at least 10 times bigger than the number of people killed by the Nazis. Not to mention that the same communists, but Russians this time (with Staline) murdered a number of people also at least 10 times bigger, in their gulags. Oh and what about communist North-Korea?

I am not excusing anything from the Nazis but if you decide to criticize something, then why do you make a difference. Because they were Germans? This is a part of History that Germans are not proud of, but that happened, so let it be History. I find such image that shows the truth extremely powerful.

Sorry for the off-topic. To compensate, I have this picture:

Matt, this last picture, is it from the Großglockner Bergrennen?

The 1930s were a wild era in the Alps, alot of hill climbs happened back then. In Bavaria, the Kesselbergrennen( http://www.active-magazin.com/wp-conten ... ild-14.png ) was a great event where in 1934 Hans Stuck drove an Auto Union car. The "track" is still in use and some years later Hans Joachim Stuck went up, too( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=enG-XzZrg68 and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3R6IfdhG2Q ). Today's inofficial races look like that( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7k7tKGg0wCA ).

Dear FIA, if you read this, please pm me for a redesign of the Technical Regulations to avoid finger nose shapes for 2016! :-)
