Lotus tells him his seat isn't guaranteed?

Do they mean next season or this season'.

If they do, i'm fairly sure it's bye-bye pastor. Grosjean probably will stay thanks to his Renault link and Total sponsor.
who would fit the 2nd seat if pastor is ousted? good question. how about Vergne?

Nah.. he's staying. The warning is only so it doesn't look like they need him.. They do.

Am I the only one who thinks Maldonado is perhaps the most under-appreciated GP winner out there?

It's a pitty for the DNF in Monaco. I thought he drove very impressive there...
Not for nothing, Rosberg's Championship is the only thing that lends credibility to Hamilton's recent success. Otherwise, he'd just be the guy who's had the best car. — bhall II

Huh?

Isn't he there - due to big-bucks daddy?

How does that compute?

I personally don't give a sh*t about Pastor's 'links'.

So he has gazillion of Venezualan oil-company money backing him up and his late buddy Hugo Chavéz played a significant role in getting Pastor where he is. I don't care if he's a socialist. He can be whatever he wants and do whatever he wants.

Pastor seems like and it's vividly reported that he is a genuinly friendly guy. They say it's like liftin' a switch when he puts his helmet on and becomes like some sort of gremlin. Whatever, i don't even care about that either.

It's about what he does. And the facts are, Pastor came in with a humongeous GP2 experience compared to other 'rookies' when he entered F1. He kept bungling in GP2 for quite a while before he became champion. Then in F1, he has this wealth of experience to lean on, and as a F1 rookie has his time to get accustomed and make some errors, whatever.

But after years in F1, it's pastor in the wall here, there, flipping other cars, and making a destruction derby out of it.
Yes he has potential, he most definetaly does. He has shown that when he puts his mind to it he is able to do some great overtakes and very speedy and fast driving. Ultimate proof of that for him was his GP win - even if he had a good amount of luck on his side.

The truth is, i don't see the pastor we could be seeing. The ingredients are there, he is that guy, he can - but - he doesn't. he simply doesn't. He brings large quantities of $$$$$$$$ to the teams he contracts to, but meanwhile his repeated damage costs a whopping amount of $$$$$ too, and, not the least, negative publicity. Before it was publicity, now it has gotten to; Maldonado? Crash. not a good thing. I find it interesting that Williams team members spoke the spirit lifted up a lot when Pastor left. I think Pastor is a friendly outgoing guy, but he demands certain things and i don't think he's particularly enjoyable when in such a mood or 'condition'.

Pastor had his chance, had his time. It's over.

Did Pastor suffer from crash-withdrawal today? It's been a while since his last shunt.
Pure wheel to wheel racing doesn't do it for him so he just had to do a scandinavian flick before braking for t1, just for the fun of it
