Comment from original poster:
FYI - Anything blacked out is what I would say is sensitive information, or anything that could possibly get me into trouble for leaking this, i.e. Schumacher's house address.
This is the final version of Schumacher's contract with Ford Motor Company's lawyers revisions prior to all parties signing in 1993.
Schumacher was with Benetton in 1993. Ford provided the engines for Benetton as far as im aware, (wasn't born until 1998 lol), so I believe this is the kind of contract Alonso would have with Honda for example, separate to A McLaren contract.

Clause 4(b) - Does this car still exist and how much fuel did he put in it? I like a good contract.
Good work.

"(c) At all times during the Contract Period:
(i) Schumacher will speak favourably regarding his association with Company whenever it's apropriate for him to do so when speaking in public or in the media;"

I'm willing to bet an arm that Alonso has the same sort of agreement with Honda.

I dont want to be a gossip Nancy, but i just red a big presumption that Michael supposedly died. One of our media houses is reporting that Mick did not come to his race, because something was wrong with his father. It might well be just silly journalistic sensation with no truth about it. Is there any other firm reason for Mick not racing?

no reports of death

i can confirm as my father has suffered a similar condition, and by now is 3/4 year in situation where there is little to zero progress due to permanent damage to short-term memory causing the person to be virtually completely unable to make the steps neccesary to 'advance' and gain the ability to have a somewhat 'normal or decent' life. Read: damage to the brains causes a need to make 'new' paths to already-existing memories and functions. new paths can't be made because the damage to short-term memory makes it impossible to form or remember the new paths, thus causing the person to maintain it's mental state. unfortunately, that is a damaged mental state.

i can say, that is, quite frankly, inhuman state.

Wow !
That's a description of what can happen with brain injuries that I've never heard before, and it's very sad to me.

Re: Copy of Michael Schumacher's Contract

Thanks.

I expect Mr Schumacher to be in quite the similar situation. Which really is the reason why his management and family decides to keep things quite. For the sake of privacy, for the sake of damage to the 'person' schumacher, for the avoidance of public discomfort for the Schumacher family and closest friends, and for the legacy of Mr. Schumacher, and leave the public and fans with the image they had of the 'Real Schumacher', not the 'Current Schumacher' - that is,
the legendary racing skills and results and achievements Michael has left motorsport with.

I won't delve into what fysical state and what that means for the daily life of Mr Schumacher, because i don't want to disrespect his privacy and dont want to be somebody who shatters the memory of Schumacher's legend. I expect it to be exactly the same to that of my father, with the sole exception that my father does not have the 'luxury' of spending the remainder of his life at his own home and refuge, which is Schumacher's case is a vastly luxurious estate. Either way, it doesnt change either's condition.

Adding to that though, the danger of 'sudden' death still looms every single second as the damage the accident(s) inflicted cause the precense of late (neurological) side-effects of which for example Maria de Villota passed away a year after her accident, and the looming danger of the body not being able to process sickness or disease that happens whilst the person is in such a already sick state. Shortly said; chances for a person like Schumacher (and my Father) to suffer death from getting something like neumonia - which is a condition that is much easier for a person with such condition to contract - is far higher compared to a person in full health - meaning, full fysical and mental health.
To be really harsh and bold - i personally think - as heartbreaking that may sound - that it would be a relieve for people in such a condition to die from such 'natural' causes, as it simply ends the inhuman state they findthemselves in.

You could say these people find themselves in a 'Semi-vegatative state with a precense of intelligence and certain amount of conciousness'.

That means the possibilty excists - and is fairly high, actually - that people in such condition, actually fully realise in what physical state they find themselves in and accordingly, understand the effects and their non-existing future.

I dare to say, people having this condition really suffer.

So to conclude - based upon personal experience, i fully stand behind the stance that the 'best news' there is in these situations, is to hear these people 'passed away'. I thus think the news any fan should be looking forward to would be that Schumacher has passed away - obviously hoping that it would happen in his sleep, like which has happened
to Maria de Villota. It is somewhat cold, but it really is the hard truth.

either way, i won't keep this boat sailing further offtopic, so back to a time when things were much better for Schumacher; the time of this ford contract.

Good work.
I'd also like to know about this car. It would seem to have been a convertible Ford escort.

I'm aware the escort enjoys a more favorable reputation in Europe through cosworth and so on, and equally aware that in 93/94 Schumacher was not yet entirely the legend he is today. But really? They have him an escort? This, to me, is like Honda giving Alonso a Civic.

I'm sure he got more than that, Button and Magnussen got a Mclaren 650S, though Magnussen never got his delivered because by the time they had found an insurance that would cover him he he was on his way out

I don't know why I'm surprised, I totally shouldn't be surprised. That Civic is heinously ugly.

Button himself bought a P1, and got a 650s from the boss yeah, and obviously Schumacher back in 94 had a nice sleek and fast vehicle aswell.
it wasn't about them owning grocery getters instead of supercars, it was about the irony in the comment 'like honda giving alonso a civic' while that is actually exactly what they did.
Mclaren surely handed Alonso a 650s, too. Honda however gave him a Civic Type R. it's hilarious because of the irony in the comment, which gives it a good grade of fun and humour.

yup, it's funny as hell.
I hope they'll hand him a proper new NSX soon.

sorry for again being the one to derail this thread.

schumacher had some nice whips back in the 90's though, aside that 'blazing escort'

one of the hottest cars ever imho though i prefer it in blue.
Michael Schumacher's one-off "P***y Magnet Yellow" rare Bugatti EB 110 is for sale on James List for just $745,000. Schumi's chick-getter is the only extra-powerful EB 110 SS equipped with the luxurious GT interior.

Released in 1992, the SS version of the Bugatti EB 110 used a 603 HP version of the quad-turbo 3.5-liter V12. Michael purchased his in 1994, the year of his first world championship. The purchase created a huge amount of publicity for Bugatti, but that wasn't enough to save the ailing supercar maker, which sold its rights to VW in 1998.

Hello Monoah2u,
sad to hear your story and sorry when I annoy you with further questions or be inappropriate in any way.
Is it possible to communicate with such a person in any way? Is possible to tell how much awareness such a person has of himself and the surrounding?

The article says Schumachers Family has to spend 154.000$ a week, what is causing such massive cost? I would expect that Schumacher has an accident and health insurance which covers that.
