No, because nobody is running flat out.

About the only thing you can determine from max speed data (not speed trap), is that Vettel might have been pushing harder.

Maybe they have a magical solution that causes less drag?

I'm happy that ferrari and williams are racking up some impressive mileage.
The Honda engine survived the last two(ish) hours of testing so i hope that it's safe to say that the oil issue was just a fluke, although it seems that they were taking it VERY easy on the engine. (One lap, pit, another lap, pit and then some short stints)

For the gazillionth time: pole record is 1:19.995 by webber in 2010, outright track record is 1:19.954 by Barichello 2009 Q2.

FI, Renault and Ferrari seem to run more rake than RB.

Mercedes 287.2km/h; Ferrari 285.1km/h best of all BCN Tests 2016

at finsh line measured like the values from today.

today Mercedes 280.5 km/h and Ferrari 283.4km/h (if those numbers were updated all day, not sure about McLaren (270) )

AMUS last year, then measured from finsh to topspeed and trie dto deduct engine power comparison.

Assuming this is the start/finish line speed trap (pure guess) merc is 14 kmh down on what they did last year in quali, Vettel is 7 kmh down, ricciardo 11 kmh down.

This comparison by amus was a bunch of BS, and didn't account for slipstreaming cars (renault at 342 kmh in testing, 330 in actual qualifying). I remember how people got all up in the air about renault suddenly leapfrogging mercedes at the time

Analaysis time, lets compare the testing times with last year qualifying times just for fun:

Mercedes: -0.235
Red Bull: +0.246
Ferrari: -1.235
Force India: -0.073
Williams: -1.446
McLaren: +0.871
Toro Rosso: +0.851
Haas: -1.512
Renault: +0.159
Sauber: +1.639

(data could be wrong due to human error)

This is totaly unrelevant information, becouse of diffirent fuel loads and diffirent tires, but any information is better than no information even if it's unrelevant :P

Cool, ok, fair enough.

Still holds true though - it's going to get broken by end of next week :)

Or it could mean that Ferrari PU is better.
Vettel did 128 laps and only 0,1 slower then Hamilton on slower medium rubber. I would call that good start, Ferrari looks promising...

Look at Mclaren/Honda
