The ban itself was weird, but allowing a team to run an "illegal" device without penalty is even weirder. The fia should ban itself for bringing the sport into disrepute.

All I'm saying is that FIA stewards are specialist authorized by FIA and sent to every Grand Prix to conduct observations if FIA technical and sporting regulations are respected by teams and race organizers. If they were provided with a copy of technical regulations or an official communiqué in which mass damper is defined as illegal device they'd say Renault was illegal. Simple as that. It was legal since 2005 and opinion of Mosley didn’t change technical fact about its functioning so there was nothing new stewards should have taken in consideration.

FIA has given them the task of judging about legality but once their expertise collides with political ideas of mad Max and co. than all of the sudden they become incompetent and even worse completely innocent teams are threatened and in that way placed in unfair position in relation to some other teams.

If FIA has internal problem than it can't punish 3rd party because of what someone from FIA has done - Mosley, marshals, stewards... whoever.

Yesterday, less than a week since FIA announced that teams using mass damper in Germany can be punished that same FIA says teams using mass damper in Hungary won’t be punished :!:

What is that?!

Are we all stupid?

According to mad Max, mass damper was legal from September 2005 to July 2006, than illegal for few days and than once again legal! Fortunately history will record dirty politics played by Mosley those who benefit from it.

He didn't say it was legal, he just say teams that uses it between now and when it will be actually ruled in court of appeal will not be punished if it was then officially declared as illegal. Since the punishment will not be retroactive. You are really not reading anything but between the lines, even when there is nothing between the lines...

Like you said, the scrutineers are specialists, they read the rules just like the team does. And like any rules they are open to interpretation. If anything this incident of discrepency between the governing body ruling vs scruitneer ruling means there exist a safeguard from the exact conspiracy that you are always trying to suggest.....they did NOT become incompetent, they are just doing what they are supposed to do, and not being a puppet....

Does anybody know when was the last time FIA overruled the stewarts? C'mon, tell me, I sincerely want enlightment.

And, do you think MC is creating a conspiracy theory out of nothing? Well, what about Ferrari not needing or not being able to take the same advantage of the dampers any more?

Autosport.com says it gives 0.3 seconds per lap for cars on Michelin tires "on certain tracks with heavy braking and high kerbs... " and that "the benefit for the Bridgestone teams is much less" and that is the reason why "Ferrari only ran the system at some races this year".

If I understand correctly, FIA board is composed by morons that:

- Doesn't have stewards that know their own rules, (after all the imaginable changes made to ensure a friend of the board is at every GP...)

- Have a new system in place to overrule arbiters (imagine this situation at the World Cup: the FIFA board in a fast meeting, while the match is still being played, reinstates Zidane and expells Mazzerati)

- It chooses to change a rule at the middle of the season when nobody can adapt to it, except those that cannot or doesn't use it.

- It does so with the most moronic argument they can find (moveable aerodynamic devices... you must be joking about flexi-wings, don't you?)

- Immediately affect the outcome of the championship (fortunately, this is not a reason to protest, but if I would be Briatore, I would want revenge...)

C'mon guys, are you totally neutered?

I am not saying it is true, :lol: but if it walks like a duck, quack like a duck and fly like a duck, probably is a duck. Next time they will come for the socialists... :)

What about the Honda Fiasco in San Marino last year.. I can not tell if you are being sacrastic with that question???

Renault chose to run the car without the damper at the German GP because the could not risk being disqualified in a post-race ruling. With all they have at stake, they chose to be safe from any post-race decision that may have crippled them.

Did you read the news?

Now FIA stewards in Hungary (same stewards from German GP) say mass damper as illegal while FIA announced before that teams using in Hungary won't be punished. Now Renault once again can't use it because now stewards said it is illegal and FIA “law makers” as someone called them said teams using it Hungary won't be punished!

I'm convinced that both sides at FIA - heads and stewards are at same mission and that confrontation between them is made up.

Liars & cheaters!
