digital imaging of circuits

Post

This past summer while on a co-op term, I attended a presentation by Terrapoint.

http://www.terrapoint.com/solutions/index.html

The sales rep mentioned that they (Terrapoint) were just in Montreal, imaging the track for Williams.

Does anyone know of any companies or technologies also used to do this. Which teams use which company/technology.

Thanks

Not sure of the company, but we had a seminar on this recently at work.

Its quick to produce a picture, they basically setup a rotating imager (like surveyors equipment), put out a few reflectors with known points (for when they move the imager, push a button, and whammo theres a picture.

However. It takes a very long time and skilled user to produce a working 'drawing'.

Once the picture is taken though, it is very accurate and can be as detailed as you want. As long as you have the time to do it.
