Even Jean Todt said that it wasn't a win but a "gift".
The trouble with the rat-race is that even if you win, you're still a rat.

Of course it was a real race, recognised by the FIA. The others decided not to race. How does that make it not a race?
What a stupid question.

In the literal sense Indy 1005 was not a race, it was a parade, no one was really going for the win. I'm sure there was a season when Ferrari didn't win a race, what about the mid 90's?

I think it was '93. Not 100% sure, but they, Ferrari, didn't win that year.

Of course Indy 2995 was a real race it was the other teams that decided not to race and although Jordan and Minardi were never going to win tthey would have been going as fast as they could

By 2995 (Max has kept his body in frozen cyrogenics while his brain is untouched) the engine freeze has resulted in 55 cc four stroke diesels engines with traction control, maximum 16 cylinders, and 2,000 RPM maximum limit. The wheels have been narrowed to 3 cm, and with the 2.75 wide cm groove, makes for interesting handling. With the success of the CDG wing has come the CDG driver, a clone with his left and right brain halves kept separate on top of each sidepod. Luckily, with the decreased speeds, the driver(s)? have enough time to decide to turn or to have their nails done.
The extra weight of all the video broadacsting equipment has raised concerns, and hopefully some of the 3.6 metric tonnes of cameras may be replaced by 3.5 tonnes of the new 3-D laser device in an interest to increase performance.
