I found this around the place that Kubica had that horrible accident.

A Tridon worm drive hose clamp.. Not a chance on an F1 car! Maybe it if was purple, anodised and had Adel Wiggins written on it ;)

Its not even broken, its been unscrewed, very unlikely to be off the BMW.

thank you guys...it just seems i wasn't lucky enough. i was waiting in front of Hamilton's pit for quite a while (and he didn't come out....), kinda missed the best time to find the debris. :cry:

If the "teeth" on the outer side aren't damaged than it means it's been unscrewed as Tom said or never screwed. It does look very new though.

You can always send email to BMW Sauber and ask them for confirmation (don't attach photos, instead upload them to imageshack and add links in plain text email).
