Actually when I was very young that is what I heard first, that Gilles was his Uncle, however that was quickly proved wrong lol. Seems to be a common (ish) mistake.
AOL is wrong
About what Gilles? Or the list? LMAO :lol:

Gilles and Jacques were brothers. Jacques Villeneuve - the 1997 WDC is the son of Gilles. Jacques is name of his uncle - they have same first and last name and his uncle was F1 driver too.

That is totally correct, whatever AOL has to say about Gilles or Jacques that conflicts with this is just nonsense. End of discussion ;)
