Swiss GP 1938?
I don't know what it is about Germany, but the tarmac they lay is perfectly smooth on the straights and very bumpy in the braking areas. So they need to do it the other way round! - David Coulthard, 2002.

I guess that the weekend kept away the real specialists... :oops:

I would never recognize Pau in that era, anyway, I preferred to keep my mouth shut instead of randomly write one by one the GP's held back then. About the year, which one was it (I would bet 1939)?

its obviously monaco 1955 (it was on the link!) and yeah it was Ascari. Can't imagine how he survived that then died just a few days later.
