Bargeboard development for the F2008, if my eyes are not decieving me this time around. The main area affected is the end of the bargeboard under the sidepod 'winglets'. The 'appendice' being tested today has a swoopier shape than the one raced one week ago in Bahrain. And it is being tested in conjunction with the new 'ducted' nose cone.

@ vyselegend those are not cuts on R28 wing, but just reflections  Compare the left and right side, and also look at the older wing which shows similar light reflections.
Auto sport said the following:

"while McLaren tried a new rear wing - designed for 2009 regulations - and Renault tested several upgrades, including a new front wing."

Is that rear wing in your pic 2009-rules compliant? Do the rules require single element? I also thought the 2009 rules limited span to something smaller?

I believe this single element rear wing is used to "simulate" levels of
aerodynamics for the 2009 rules, not implement the rules themselves.

mclaren.com: "the car was set up to be as aerodynamically close as possible to the 2009 regulations."

This is to get the most accurate results for slick tire performance .

From the pics ive seen;

Ferarris new nose looks diffrent
Red Bull have front wheel farinda and the BMW/Renault style of sidepod barge board development
Renaults central front wing scoop is now triple tiered
Williams seem to have a BMW Styled front wing, but with a little Red Bullish looks as well

Toro Rosso will have the STR3 out tomorrow, comparisons to the RB4 will be taken then.

They use Monza 07 spec aero to simulate 09 aero. This was also seen in previous tests with slick tyres. This has alwasy been the objective for 2009, to achieve Monza aero levels as standard, not a one-off...

An I expect to see a similar package to this one from Ferrari within the next few days.

True, since the current dimensions are different from what they will be changed to in next seasons's regulations. And thus far with the current regulation-cars the only way to test for next seasons performance is to simulate it, not to have an exact version of what will then be run. A spy shot of a teams '09 spec car would be amazing to see, hint hint to anyone with inside access  .

So times and performance from this seasons, and fall '07 testing, do not reflect what will actually be in 2009.

Rear wing is the same they've been using for ages. And that cut was introduced in r26.

Yes but what about the main plane? "The radical W-wing" lol? It's what Maccas and Ferraris were sporting since last year

And the ears look even funnier than last year
