Hey guys,

Since this is about 2004. I read a while back that the F2004 was off the pace in almost all preseason testing before they made some miraculous changes and in the last test they broke the imola lap record. Can any of you guys confirm that? Thanks.

back then, there was "kind of" more technical freedom than it is now. so it was possible to invent something radically new and improve the car

today's events are more technically limited in which you can't use radical innovations as they are outlawed
