Seeing how the teams build 60% scale models for the wind tunnel, what is stopping them from making remote controlled cars modeling their real cars and testing those on real tracks?

What's the point? Might as well build it 100% and have a driver drive it. Also far easier to measure drag, lift etc in a wind tunnel than on the road.

The point is 100% track testing is limited in the off season and banned in season... likewise 60% scale model wind tunnel testing is limited year long... whereas 60% track testing is not limited or even considered in the rules.

Drag & DF are easily measured on the car

Would running full-scale body work on a different chassis, with different engine be considered as normal testing that is banned?
