BTW, it's early but until now Vettel is 2.5 s. off Di Ricciardo ultimate time. I wonder how times will end up tomorrow. To be honest I don't care if new rubber is slower or faster. But I'd like it to last for less laps. Canada was quite interesting cause of tyres ending early

What kind of Disadvantage will the Single Diffuser have on the car's performance over the Double Diffuser???

What kind of Reviews did the team report on about the new diffuser and its performance relative to the car???

@mach11: SDD will generate less downforce, so next year cars will loose some part of their aero grip. The aim of this change is to ease following another car closely and create more opportunities for overtaking. Well, that's the theory, but each year we're being surprised by some brilliant developments, which helps teams regain most of the lost df. I'm expecting something similar this winter as well

Which should make the cars a little more 'pointy', suiting drivers like Hamilton and Schumacher to the detriment of drivers like Button.

Does diffuser really create more rear downforce? I have always thought it aids the airflow underneath the car so the entire bottom of the car can create more downfore

as I understand the diffusser itself is not the downforce producing element in the sense of a wing but it sort of augments/enhances the flow between flat floor and ground by creating an attractive zone for the air to flow /to fill.? I understand that the upper (visible from the top)surface of the difusser will by its wedge design produce downforce ,so of course the diffusser in itself does produce also downforce .or do i misunderstand this? the burdon of flat floor cars is the far forward centre of pressure so the first peak usually is close to the leading edge .
