in a recent interview with the magazine Speedweek Norbert Haug states: "We were running really conservative. Otherwise no one could save us."
...
He thinks that Red Bull and Ferrari are one second ahead, then in his opinion come Renault, MercdesGP, Torro Rosso and maybe Williams. He can't judge McLaren.

csponton - that blog is a straight rip off from James Allen that you are passing off as your own work. You should delete it.

^^^ Well both Jensen and Lewis have complained about a lack of down-force so imo the Macca is a dog like the Merc.

Eh? They haven't been complaining. They've just said they had less downforce than in 2010. Which is unsurprising given the lack of a DDD

They obviously mean a lack of downforce compared to RBR and Ferrari:

http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/89694
Lewis Hamilton says his McLaren car's main issue is a lack of downforce, although the Briton is hopeful the team will be able to sort some of its problems before the start of the season.

Hamilton said the MP4-26 was not as bad as the team's 2009 machine, with which he struggled at the start of the season, but admitted it is currently lacking performance.

"The '09 was terrible because the car was hopping, three-wheeling through corners, it was locking up, and it had no downforce," Hamilton told Reuters.

"This doesn't lock up, it doesn't three-wheel and it handles really nice, better than last year's car, but it just doesn't have as much downforce...so that's where it feels weak.

Let's only go by the quote. The press will (usually, or at least likely)bloat situations. The car is nice, but it doesn't have as much df as the MP4-25. That's the way I see it.

Im sorry but if the car was strong and "apparently" competitive with the Ferrari and RedBull why would they be complaining about a lack of downforce?

Mark, Seb, Nando and Massa aren't complaining about a lack of downforce and seem very happy with their cars, surely that should tell you something?
