I'm not sure if you noticed, but the marbles didn't seem to stop anyone overtaking? In Melb-Mal-China? It's not like the Bstones last year were much better. They made the normal racing line a lot quicker too you know, with all the rubbering in they did

Ive been watching f1 since 1989 and was sceptical about drs, kers and new tyres. I thought the China GP was the best race i have ever seen!
I consider my self to be a purist and i love this brave new world. F1 has always had differentiators, thats what f1 is all about. Who can make the best car, work the tyres the best, have the best launch control, the best pit crews and now who can use kers the best, (Lewis in my opinion), make best use of strategy and put on the boldest overtakes.
F1 has been dominated by f1 for too long and now we have the tyres to balance it. I didnt see and artificial race on sunday, i saw the best drivers in the world duking it out in the best cars under the current rules, just as its always been.

Yes... but that was a sign of other (primarily aerodynamic) weaknesses in the formula.

Besides, the current generation of 'marbles' are dangerously large. It's only a matter of time before a driver is seriously injured by one.

Finknottle? Just think of all of the passes that we've seen on the 2nd lap of the races, and also those that are far away from the DRS zones.
