That would be impressive wouldn't it? Spend a year in a Sauber and then hop straight in to a Ferrari. Personally I can't see it, I think if it does happen, it'll be in 2013.

Whats the odds that Massa will be replaced by Perez or Bianchi now as both are set to test a F60 at either Fiarano or Mugello in September.

I recon that Massa is gone next year as Webber is staying at Red Bull for at least 1 more year and Button is to enter talks with McLaren for a deal till posibly 2017 soon.

Im thinking that next years grid will be more or less the same as this year, with a few detail changes;

01/02: Red Bull-Renault = Vettel/Webber
03/04: McLaren-Mercedes = Button/Hamilton
05/06: Scuderia Ferrari = Alonso/[Massa/Perez/Bianchi]
07/08: Mercedes GP = Schumacher/Rosberg
09/10: Lotus Renault = [Heidfeld/Massa]/Petrov
11/12: Sauber-Ferrari = Kobiyashai/[Perez/Bianchi/Guiteriez] (Ferrari Gearbox)
14/15: Toro Rosso-Ferarri = Buemi/Alguersauri (Red Bull Gearbox)
16/17: Force India-Mercedes = Sutil/Di Resta (McLaren Gearbox)
18/19: Williams-Renault = Barrichello/Maldanado
20/21: Team Lotus-Renault = Kovalinenn/[Valsecchi/Hulkenberg/Chandhok/Riccardo] (Red Bull Gearbox)
22/23: Hispania-Cosworth = Liuzzi/Clos (Williams Gearbox)
24/25: Virgin-Mercedes = Glock/D'Ambrosio (Mclaren Gearbox)

Surely toro-rosso would use ferrari gearboxes if they have a ferrari engine?

Massa gets demoted. He's lucky he's on my list, as it's difficult to see him retiring or not getting a drive.
Some good young drivers out there could take that sauber seat.

You know, if there's now a link between HRT & Red Bull, a 2012 promotion of Ricciardo to STR could mean a demotion for Buemi/Alguersuari to HRT (allowing for all 3 to remain in F1).

Just a thought..

Oh and as for the case of Renault's returning drivers. If you were Genii, what would you choose?

A. Kubica returns = Team leader returns, fairytale story of 2012.
B. Heidfeld returns = Ordinary results.
C. Grosjean returns = Ordinary results + 2014 Renault engine contract.

Either way you look at it, I don't see Heidfeld at LRGP in 2012.

is sutils seat with FI secured? I can´t see that .He has struggled to keep di Resta in check and Hülkenberg seems to have at least that potential.

Hluk and di Resta is most likely Force India's line-up.
Sutil to Williams or Team Lotus?

I really see this one happening. It will be a slap in the face to Buemi and Alguersuari but hey, getting the two best drivers is the job of the principal.

It is gonna happen, we all know this story. Rumors about a driver talking with a team, the teams first deny there have been talks, then state they just had a small conversation. Then they completely deny that the driver will transfer, and then the driver transfers. It is gonna happen, gonna be a killer team.

They're normally not quite so aggressive in their denial though, Horner has said specifically, several times, that Hamilton's temperament means a partnership with Vettet couldn't work, rather than the usual vague denials.

"Lewis is a wonderful driver and you can understand why he might want to drive a Red Bull. It's obvious. But would it be the best thing for us? We have severe reservations it would be."

My money on Webber to stay where he is, especially after today's performance. That said he'll no doubt be in 3rd by the 1st corner tomorrow.
