I really doubt they will ever become a real project, but I like watching these crazy projects, they must have tons of free time

Those tires simple deform with angular velocity, they do not adapt anything to anything. BTW that´s the same any rc tire do, I´ve seen the same with rubber tires as they have no rigid structure and are not inflated but with foam inside, so all of them deform like those.
