Rear wing endplates are new. There are more holes than before, I think. Also RW endplate shape is old-styled.

Have they had that little vane on top of the sidepod (right above the intake) before?

The whole weekend they are testing in pre China specification (as FW and RW, maybe floor is newer). All they do is some tweaking with setup changes. Some changes in the suspension too. They claimed they never had time to check some ideas in setup during race weekends. I do not expect new parts here.

There is a little vertical winglet on the crash structure just on top of the sidepod opening. And as mentioned in the post above, the RW endplates are also new.

mith you're right, RW has 5 side slots. China and pre China RW had 4 slots. Bottom RW is angled as in pre China version.

I am impressed with the performance of the Franco-Swiss driver at Mugello. Romain has matured immensely.

Alan Permane, Trackside Operations Director: “After looking at the data from yesterday, we ran further back-to-back tests on our suspension configurations. Track conditions were better today as a result of yesterday’s running. We stopped early for lunch so that we could change the suspension and be out running straight away in the afternoon session. In the afternoon we also assessed some new floor updates applicable for Barcelona, as well as a rear suspension update fitted late in the day. After the rain on the first day, it’s been a valuable two dry days of testing. Mugello is quite hard on the tyres; not in terms of degradation, but through the high speed loadings generating heat. This has taught us some interesting lessons applicable to the rest of the season. Mugello is also an excellent circuit for doing aerodynamic evaluation, so it has been time well spent here.”

Sorry if you guys already talked about it in this thread BUT, this is one of the fastes car on the grid and no one seems intrested in copying Lotus exthaus.
What do they do that makes them that fast?

They are not fast because of the exhaust design. It's surely the "ellipses". :D

i think lotus has more experience and knowledge about general car aerodynamics with this set of rules by using front EBD last season.

+1
lotus is not in hurry for making alla macca or sauber exaust. why? because exaust layout not anymore making advantage like last year (at least in big terms). and it's cost lot's of money for making exaust who dont making any advantage from classic solution... and lotus is already tested both solution in wind tunnel. Lotus has decided to work on other areas, like suspensions, and inner aero. i heard they trying to find more traction of the car. i think this part also refers to better using tyers.
