Not bad from this car in Q1, half a tenth from Toro Rosso of Vergne and over a tenth away from Button.

Not entirely sure thats true, but at a track where the driver input is rewarded more substantially than others, Caterham seem to have benefitted from a couple of Monaco specialists (Heikki this year of course and didn't Trulli get 12th in 2011?)

I'm a bit slow on the uptake, when did the cameras get mounted at the bottom/in-between the front-wing pillars (like the McLaren) as opposed to behind the front suspension? Was this part of their new front wing as a whole or another mini-update later?

Nice job with the preschool colors on the left-hand knobs. You'd think they'd make them different colors for ease of adjustment? Or did the drivers insist on color coordinating with their purse?

By the l;ooks of things they are just about to improve on the wheel design as the Caterham wheel has not changed much over the past 3 years, they have dropped a toggle switch and put KERS on it, but they have no thumb wheels and no reconiseable colour coding for a new driver.

Id be wanting to have two thumb rotaries, one for diff entry and one for diff exit for my driving style. However for the car you may need a different one other to exit, posibly KERS. Id also want two buttons on the rear of the wheel, the left for DRS and the right for KERS for me. However every driver is different in the way we work, even on a road car level.

It has been proven that an advanced and simple to use wheel design can improve the car performance by arround a tenth and a half per lap as the driver has less to do.

Thats the first steering wheel with 10 rotaries, up to now the most was 9.

Do they hire ergonomics guys for advice when mapping out the wheel?

My joke may have been moot anyway, because I'm sure all the drivers have absolutely memorized their wheels. I wonder if they find their dexterity reduced wearing fireproof gloves though.

There are 9 rotaries on the Lotus steering wheel. Someone has a counting problem :D

There are 9 visible, plus the big one in the middle under the protective cover. So 10 in total.

Isn't the thing in the middle a helmet bumper?
