Is that taking the load of the entire rear wing?

I quite like that.

Nice touches at the rear suspension and he cooling spats

nice swan neck on the beam wing - not blown..just a better way of hanging the wing

That can't be a blown beam wing, can it?
Nice find...the beam wing doesn't look to have a slot or hole at the back though, so I wonder how all the air could exit.

Yeah, I think that's just a really thick support, because aside from two ever-so-slight connections from the endplates to the diffuser, that's the only support for the entire wing structure.

No not a shadow, there's definitely a wave in the top surface there. Very interesting little detail.

Looking at the other angle, is that a vent!? Bit like the F2008. Was the explicitly banned or did the advantage / disadvantage balance shift?

It seems that Sauber has also opted for a wide sidepod shape near the floor edge, like rb7 and others this year

It does look like a vent outlet... question is where is the inlet? No inlets are allowed forward of the nose bulkhead.

Swiss article stating, that the test car is a quite basic version that should look very different on the 18.3. in Australia.
It also says, they have been evolving the proven concepts of the last car, but brought in some fresh ideas especially at the back of the car. (Article is quoting Matt Morris, the chief designer ).

The rest of the article is nothing new. (NZZ isn't a motorsport publication after all)
