I really want to see where this lands Fi and the rest of the teams who copied this exhaust, was it a ground breaker, teams like Ferrari Lotus and Mercedes haven't made attempts to test it here.

Nose looks really good now.

I hope these improvements can get FI a podium soon. The big money teams always finish the season strong. For FI to finish in the top five for the manufacture’s title they need at least two podiums this year.

My memory fails but did both noses have that "belly" that was see on the most efficient nose cone they brought last year?

What is the possible benefit of having the cameras mounted further back on the nose?
I've found a way of ducting exhaust right to the diffuser edge like in 2011 and created a new wheel fastener that could allow sub 2 second pitstops see them here --> My 2013 F1 Concept Project

I can imagine it would be about the vortices and turbulence generated by the neutral shapes. Some groups choose to have it on the nose (i.e. Red Bull) to perhaps have the turbulence be transitioned through the turning vanes into smooth flow.

Other teams (i.e. Lotus) have theirs together in the space between the FW pylons, positioned just above and behind the main plane for supposedly added downforce (squeezing the air passing above the main plane under the cameras for a smidge of downforce).

I can only imagine and hypothesize that the rearward position is to better track flow across the sides of the nose and to the sidepods. Also, The way they had the cameras initiall (top nosecone) was rather ghastly from the looks department and I am glad they have positioned it differently. I hope it provides some benefit other than mere aesthetics. But as they say: "If it looks fast..."

It's interesting to note the orientation of the wing profile, definitely seems to be pointing outwards. To quicken the flow inboard a bit and so help keep it attached on its way down the sidepod?

Good to seem them both finish Monaco in the points too!

I would say you need a wing profile to generate a vortex. The AoA could actually create a flow that goes straight back.

START PROCEDURE

Note especially the start procedure. Shortly after driver arrives to his slot on the starting grid, he adjust KERS discharge. We can see dials on the steering wheel display while adjusting - 2 to 3 and back to 2.

After adjusting KERS discharge, he uses central rotary switch to select one of the clutch maps determined in Practice sessions. "There’s a range of available maps downloaded to be determine for selection by engineers on parade lap from burnouts," said to me Brian Jee.

Clutch map is "a multidimensional map of clutch paddle displacement, rpm, with throw-out bearing hydraulic force as the dependent function."

The last values seen on the display before the start are "ENG..........40" which could represent idle RPM x 100, so idle speed is 4,000 rpm. Shortly before red lights goes out, Paul Di Resta press the accelerator and value ENG increases to "ENG..........131" = 13,100 rpm. Clutch is disengaged in the moment and previous value (13,100 rpm) belongs to rev limiter which varies from regular 18,000 rpm limiter. Regulations allows lower rev limit in some cases (Article 5.7) and this is one of them.
