McLaren have basically stepped their nose already, trying to maximise the area underneath the car. The problem with them is that their chassis/front bulkhead is also lower anyway, so the step isn't as noticeable.RicME85 wrote:Looking at that pic, Lewis' nose looks like its stepped.
I assume thats the same nose as Jenson has in front just the angles are showing just how different the profile is.
Unless the FIA redo the rules to get rid of the stepped noses, you'll probably see the McLaren run a more 'conventional' stepped nose for next year, or maybe even this year if they make another chassis. It's obvious that maximising airflow underneath the car is the optimal solution...thus with these rules, ugliness...
