what are they trying to cover here? did they exhaust gas burn the end plate or something?

definately an opening like DDD, but air comes from where? that's the main concern.

Everybody definitely seems to be heating up the suspension parts- whether intended or not. I would think this would alter the flexibility of the parts. That would make it really hard to predict behavior.

in the post above third picture its interesting to see all the heat tape under the beam wing, yet in the first pic there is nothing above it, obviously pretty confident about where that exhaust gas is going.

What is it with that engine cover? In Crucial's first photo - under the acer - the thing is growing warts like it was near the suspension pickups!

Yee that bumps mandate exhaoust direction around radiator from the engine...

I don't believe so, they've been visible all pre-season. I think it's just the lack of light.
