I heard it at copse, we were on national pit straight, and caterham's were very very loud, but the redbull was getting there, and the mclaren had a little bit of that sound too, I didn't notice any other cars doing it :D

It´s not just the exhaust duct that changed .the entrance ceiling of the double floor ducts are a lot more rounded now when at least the smaller rearmost opening was much squared of in Valencia ....cool refinements.

Still my opinion is the arrangement is much too busy and more akin to Neweys march/leytonhouse style of work ...with little bulges here and there....not the clean lines we had in his classic designs.still like it.

By the way, a preemptive note to say that there is dedicated Helmholtz thread running if anyone is interested in further discussion about that feature.

I was at Club on Friday and it was hugely noticeable on the Caterham, more than any other car. Due to the wet conditions most car's were lifting into Club which certainly aided in identifying which cars had it.

Saubers & the Red Bull's had similar off throttle sounds.

Video of mine of the Caterham (i'll upload others from the weekend on my YouTube account later), not the greatest quality but hopefully you can make it out - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_B-FGioDOFE

Here's a pic of the Resonator chamber showing where the chamber continues upwards from the collector:

That is a huge chamber, whats people thoughts on heatsoak on the radiator and/or also it's thermodynamic effects relating to the airflow passing through the sidepod.

That could be another internal exhaust duct.. it looks too close to the body to be the ramp duct though.. but I could be wrong..

I'm almost positive that is, in fact, the duct for the forward tunnel. The aft tunnel duct is affixed to the floor.
