The burn trail on that sidepod shows a surprisingly wide scope from the exhaust; up as high as (and over) the silver paint, and as low as the grandstand reflection line..

I always expected the exhaust stream to be much more direct and concentrated than that.

I think it's flow is highly dependent on the speed of the car. So it my be a concentrated flow but diverted through different paths over the course of a lap.

I may be due to wind which blew the exhaust gas about the exhaust steam its pretty obvious Mercedes is blowing the whole rear instead of the side of the diffuser like what RB and Sauber did cuz there is no bodywork to direct the exhaust

^ aren't the exhausts required to be visible from above?

may just be the photo angle, but I looks to me like there's a side pod revision - less down-swoop along the edge where the extended silver panel is today; slightly flatter top profile...

I quite agree. They went from the ugliest most simple front wing to the sexiest front wing of all of them.(minus their ugly simple version of the r flap)

The last pic can't be from yesterday, the burned bodywork was replaced by black-heat resistant material after the end of the first Barcelona test.

Please read this!!

The car thread is for discussing features on the car.

The team chatter has been moved to the team page - a total of 41 posts!
 viewtopic.php?f=1&t=12100&view=unread#unread

Also, repeated images have been removed.

Please note editing and moving posts does take time, so we may need to click delete (much quicker) next time we get that volume of off topic comments and repeated images. Especially the comment is only one line.

Thank you for reading this! Now back to the MP4-27 ...
