Why isn`t Mercedes using a big starter hole as RB on the RB8??
That would help alot on their mini DDD!?!

doesn't matter what they say it is aprox: 5000mm long , wheelbase is 34XXmm.

Measured with ruler.
Measured again, again with ruler: 5200mm long, Wheelbase 3520mm

I measured it again, assuming wheel+tyre diameter is the maximum of 660 mm

Total length: 5050 mm +/- 15

Wheelbase: 3515 mm +/- 15

So i guess the consensus is that the wheelbase is around 3510 - 3520

anyone determine for sure what's going on with their mini DDD? I still believe it's a vacuum effect with the starter hole yielding at least a good 3-5 points at the rear end.

We need some clearer shots of the rear corner to see if it is ducted. It just seems like they're using ducts to suply air above the diffuser rather than in the middle through the starter motor loophole.

i think the FIA deemed the reactive ride hieght suspension illegal so the teams dropped it

from what i seeing in track merc dont have RRH... .RRH is device to prevent the car from diving when braking improving stability, and Merc car have some heavy diving, their car with FW almost touch asphalt/track. something like Red Bulls. hm maybe Red Bulls also have RRH

Isn't that the interim wing? I thought the supposed Melbourne wing was the boxy one with the slots...

...? That image is the 2011 FW. It was tested for a few hours at the 2nd test, and I have not seen it since.

OK, I thought it was supposed to be different somehow. I got it from AMuS here and they act like they have some sort of scoop on the new wing. I should have remembered the rule - if it's in AMuS, you know it's wrong.
