Yes and no. You missed some posts above.
Another interesting thing:
CGI E21 also has different front wishbones/steering rack design; E20's steering rack is independant; it's not integrated to the lower wishbone...

I assumed that is the case, this "photoshoped" pictures are really E21, and what was represented today was E20 with E21 parts, like it was for E20, R31 with E20 parts last year.

You could see on presentation, Jerez entry sidepods so i was suspicious. I think real E21 have longer wheelbase, tighter rear end packing with Red Bull style exaust ramp, Mclarens rear wing, Sauber wings on sidepods and combination of R31/E20 style of nose.

It's been a long time since we drove last time, but it has also been a short time at the same time

Allison states that most of the car is an evolution...

The front and rear wings are along the same thought pattern as the old ones. The side pods too. He said the suspension has been modified to be more aerodynamic. They will run a passive DRS in testing and hope to prove it works. He doesn't plan to run a nose blank because of the added weight.

Guys, this looks a lot like the E20 because it is an evolution. This is about what I expected.

About today's car sidpods...
Confusion is caused by the fact that E20 air intakes evolved atleat two times last season. In the early tests they had 2 crash-structure-like bulges each. In barcelona They only kept the upper ones and lost the others. And in Monaco, the sidepods received more triangular air intakes (while sidepods used to have elliptic/rectangular ones)
Today's car has the early E20 sidepods.

thanks Blackout!

I can't believe how many people buy that todays lauch "E21" is the real E21.
It is so obvious that it is E20 with minor changes to fool the audience.

Without wanting to prolong this debate, if it fooled a certain sandal-wearing nerd who spent a hell of a lot of time a hell of a lot closer to the E20 than (m)any of us into thinking it was worth posting to his twitter feed then either Lotus serve excellent bacon sarnies or they're E21 parts at the very least?

Edit: Based on the listings at least Sky have spun a 30 minute program out of this (Weds 1930 F1HD) so I'd imagine they'll have further details/video/pictures and won't want to be wasting their time talking about early-2012 front wings or Jerez-test side pods?
