Toro Rosso STR8 Ferrari

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Is this a groove/indent in the top of the sidepod or just the lighting?

+ enclosed drive shaft
is there a vane from the brake duct which directs the exhaust gases downwards?

Back in 2009 they were carbon copies, now they are distant cousins that barely talk to each other.

They announced they were dropping the double floor and they did, somehow the car still looks similar, same hot air exits, same coanda...

I like the nose, pretty much on the limit.

the rollled edge on the floor along the sidepods looks interesting as well as the exhaust exit direction directly pointing at the outboard half of the rear tires.

No problems with warming them up i guess

"...and there, very much in flames, is Jacques Laffite's Ligier. That's obviously a turbo blaze, and of course, Laffite will be able to see that conflagration in his mirrors... he is coolly parking the car somewhere safe." Murray Walker, San Marino 1985

Or just that they start running with low fuel earlier than the other teams.

I'd try not to embed these images because they are huge. I just link the formule1.nl ones.
