Toro Rosso STR9 Pre-launch Speculation

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

well, it could have been enjoyed a fair bit more if they were allowed a higher REV limit. but it does sound cool!
i like these 'additional' sounds that come with the engine, these whistling sounds or is it something electric?
want to hear them going full power and batteling on the straights!

it sounds good, but it doesn't have that 18k+rpm scream that everyone is used to.

To be honest, it sounds like the most modern supercars, not like Formula 1. I had to recover by running some already old V8 youtube drugs. Then, I watched the Lexus LFA's V10 and got in sorrow again.

One has to admit, though, that the STR video did not feature full revs, I suppose.

How can we be used to 18k+ revs when the cap was 18k ?

I think we're 2 hours behind, so that would be 15:30...could be wrong though...
Favourite driver: Lando Norris
Favourite team: McLaren

Turned down the chance to meet Vettel at Silverstone in 2007. He was a test driver at the time and I didn't think it was worth queuing!! 🤦🏻‍♂️
