McLaren MP4-29 Mercedes

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Is that a little wing held up by those arches?

this can't be close to the final race livery, lukozade / maxi muscle (GSK) is missing from their previous rear spoiler position but are still noted as a "partner" on the site.

I wonder if it´s even worth looking at the sketch. Just look at the strakes.
Or this is actually how the car will look come race day and the real car is an early mockup.

the sketches are showing by fact more datail, like the monkey seat addon, as the 3D model. So it might be wuite accurate.

Does this illustration show that there are two mounting point options for the suspension elements towards the rear of the gearbox/crash structure?

Is the rear wing connected to the suspension?

Dear FIA, if you read this, please pm me for a redesign of the Technical Regulations to avoid finger nose shapes for 2016! :-)

GSK Sold Lucozade brand to Suntory holdings last september... i doubt lucozade will be sponsor this year ...

car looks ok ... not so keen on the livery ... not a match to Force India livery which is striking ...

I don't think so, it's just going to the rear crash structure under/trough the wing.

No. That is just because it is above the suspension

I don't think the rear wing is connected to the suspension mainly because there is that middle support beam that isn't connected to the suspension. It would flex on the extremities...
