Ferrari F14T

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Some shots of the F14T today in Austin. No 2015 parts that I can see thus far, maybe tomorrow I hope.

According to Piola, Ferrari is testing the 2015 rear suspension in Austin.

Does anyone know what was that thing they tested on Raikkonen's car?

The new RW has different endplates but also has two slot gaps just above Santander

I saw this on PlanetSport.com regarding that band on Kimi's F14T:
"News in is that it's not Kimi's breakfast tray attached to his car. Rather Ferrari are considering making the nose of the car a bit higher next season and are checking Kimi's eye line."

And that would again be wrong as nose can't be higher than it is, as they have it as high as they are allowed (625mm from reference plane if I am not mistaken). It was clear that sensors (or at least data storage) was attached on the side of the car by that silver piece. And it is not that strange to see sensors on the side attached by wrapping whole nose around. It is easier than to make holes in sides to screw sensors on.
