It really seems full focus has gone to developing RB11 long ago.

This is something I can't understand. If the same statement would have been made last year, it was perfectly understandable. When regulations are staying same, except for front wing, there is loads of learning that you can do by concentrating on current car.

I agree. However, utter lack of any developments, on a red bull of all cars, is highly unprecedented, don't you think? Imo the only logical explanation is major 2015 development push.

Those hundreds upon hundreds of millions of $ have to go somewhere after all.

Don't find it that surprising considering Newey saying the lack of scope for development in the current regs drove him to leave the sport.

Newey is still very much in the sport. He even said on SKy that he will be there making the RB11 and even developing it too. Since he has dropped his official role he just has more freedom to do things away from RedBull if he wants now.

Unfortunately he is very much out of the sport as soon as the RB11 first fires up. He will remain as a consultant available to the design team but his day to day involvement will be practically nil. His next project for RBT will be announced in the next few weeks.

In this article bauer is quoted that the Red Bulls "fail to comply with Article 3.15 of the Formula One technical regulations which limits moveable aerodynamics.". To me this means that Red Bull passed the load tests described in article 3.17 and only the rearmost parts of the wing deflects.

I'm certain that i have seen a video of a Williams(from Spa?) where exactly the same parts deflect at higher speeds. The camera at the nose indicated a flex. Here it is: http://gfycat.com/MiniatureYearlyGar

There is also onboard footage from today that shows the Williams frontwing flexing in exact same way.

afaik teams have been flexing their wings for over a decade now. I understand Red Bulls disappointment.

On the other end, i do understand the penalty, however, it's a bit late and unfairly placed as well(why only Red Bull?)
