A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Visually this car is worthy of a front-running team.

Just wow...

Toro Rosso looks more like Red Bull each year and I have to say it is one of the best lookig car this year and the airbox it just wow.
But according to Chandhok it doesn't drive so good.

Just look at that gap from the sidepods to the edge of the floor...

They've got almost as good airflow as the Williams double-floor.

A rookie driving a complete new car on the first day isn't the best way to judge that.

Sidepod bodywork is larger before the 'CDAdapco' (around the exhausts?) and might be tighter around the 'Renault'

Getting reports on Twitter from STR asking people if they have seen their sidepods.
They were on the car at one point but simply vanished.

Right below the camera you can see the part I am talking about. It is rather big. You can see teatray through the vanes of the aperture further back and lover.

Look here in front of tea tray below the wishbone above the blue stripe on the floor on first picture. Different angle on the second picture.
