McLaren MP4-31 Honda

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

I would say the latter. I think i posted a very similar Pic before and it turned out the upper flap was just in it's lowest possible position / not fully assembled.

The most upper flap is missing, which is new. A new design of the upper flaps at all.
This is the most complex wing on the grid.
Mclaren development force at its best.

Nice picture of Diffuser
It's almost like it's not a diffuser at all.

Well, dark spots, some reflections, the car is not on the ground, ... It all messes with your mind. It's a nice pic though that shows the fins can not go bellow the pane of the plank. This is another nice one from the hungaroring. The flowviz shows other details better.

Slight revision on the Floor:

Old one on Buttons Car:

New one on Fernandos Car: The stake on Top is a little more angled. Look at the Space between the front of the Stake and the Tire Temp Sensor.

Didn't they run without the upper flap at Monza ?

Is it me or have they increased the rake again?

No, only Toro Rosso does such shenanigans. ^^

Same FW, just the Flap turned down all the Way. See last Page with Pictures of Suzuka, it was exactly the same.

It's the Same Front Wing. Picture 2 just has the upper Flaps in Transport Mode.

You can even see the upper flap is not connected to the adjuster. You can see the attachment point on the flap.
