Scuderia Ferrari SF70H

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

So how did Mercedes manage to find out about this extra tank ?
Christian Horner told to a SKY reporter during the grid walk that a former member of the red team signed for the silver team and notified them of the extra oil tank and its purposes.
There is no NDA in the F1 or what?

F1 engineers use take a gardening leave, which means they are still on the payroll but can't work on the field for some time, usually 6 months, at which time they probably won't have the most up-to-date intel anymore.

So if that's supposed to be true, the only guy we know who joined Mercedes is JA...

He left Ferrari in July 2016 and joined Mercedes in February 2017. That's a big gap in F1 terms.

The floor slot has been modified, now it's rigidly fixed on both ends.

A few more of the new FW. They have gone back to a semi-span first slot similar to the FW raced at the beginning of the season. It surprises me how many times they move in a direction only to reverse course with the next update.

Have they changed the middle section of the t-wing or has it always been that shape

I believe that is new, going for even more load from the T-wing.

I think because of that new second wave on main floor doesn't make sense to have full span slot.
